Available Positions

Location: Kelowna

Overview: Evergreen is looking for individuals with an optimistic attitude. They must be able to take the account they are assigned and manage every aspect of it – including the supervision of all staff working at the facility, managing the budget, all while maintaining a mutual relationship with the client. This position requires hands-on work experience and requires you to work through our office. You will be the main point of contact for the account for all head office support staff.

Job tasks:

  • Daily quality assurance reports
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Hire, train, motivate, evaluate and discipline cleaning staff
  • Creation of weekly/monthly cleaning schedules
  • Inventory ordering, control and cost analysis
  • Ensure all company protocols are being adhered to i.e. – WCB, WHMIS, etc.

Job overview: Evergreen’s janitorial staff work together in maintaining the cleanliness of the building to which they are assigned to. The general overview of duties and responsibilities for this position are:

Job tasks:

  • Stock cart with paper supplies, chemicals and cleaning equipment
  • Wipe and sanitize all contact surfaces such as public phones and door handles
  • Vacuuming carpets and upholstery around assigned facility
  • Dust mop and vacuum all floor surfaces
  • Wet mop any spills in hallways or traffic areas
  • Litter Picking outside of entrances and parking lots
  • Empty garbage and recycling containers
  • Monitoring washrooms to ensure cleanliness and sufficiently stocked supplies
  • Dusting desk kiosks and horizontal surfaces
  • Other reasonable requests from Site Supervisor
  • Clean and polish chrome and other metal surfaces
  • Spot clean walls, partitions, light switches and window sills

Education and experience:

  • Demonstrate positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous cleaning experience would be considered an asset

Job tasks:

  • Carpet steam extraction
  • Exterior pressure washing
  • Foor stripping & waxing

  • Building Service Worker
  • IICRC Carpet Cleaning
  • WHMIS Certification

Location: Edmonton, Kamloops, Kelowna, Penticton, Vancouver & Vernon

Overview: To develop and maintain new opportunities in a defined sales territory by generating leads, participating in Request For Proposals and creating growth through existing market share. To assist Evergreen Building Maintenance in participation in RFP analysis and preliminary preparation for regional opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Will require valid driver’s license and vehicle.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, professional phone demeanour, strong computer skills and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Job tasks:

  • Prepare and present sales proposals directly to potential clients.
    Generate sales opportunities through cold calling and leveraging existing market presence to provide steady growth in a defined territory.
  • Report weekly on sales activities and sales target performance.
  • Analyze data to assist in prioritizing targets to receive corporate introductions and sales follow-up on all private sector opportunities.
  • Obtain and track information on all targeted opportunities by company and business segment, documenting decision making personnel, current contractual status and projected opportunity dates.
  • Identify client requirements upon award of successful bids, and assist in development of work schedules, quality assurance tracking, key performance indicators and security requirements, utilizing existing templates.
  • Prepare, via utilization of pre-fabricated templates, corporate introduction packages and confirm delivery to appropriate parties.
  • Assist in standardization of typical responses for RFPs both public and private, identifying recurring requests and documenting trends.

  • Able to work independently, demonstrated proficiency in business to business sales techniques

Location: Aggasiz, Surrey & Vernon

Overview: Evergreen Building Maintenance appoints supervisors to work in a specific region and directly report to the portfolio manager. A supervisor is required to manage all staff under them, including recruitment, training, scheduling, equipment tracking, and quality assurance.

Job tasks:

  • Hire, train, motivate, evaluate and discipline cleaning staff and sub-contractors
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Exercise quality assurance tasks
  • Tracking of company equipment
  • Promptly rectify any service complaints
  • Participate in weekly conference call sessions
  • Ensure all company protocols are being adhered to i.e. – WCB, WHMIS, etc.
  • Make sure all employees have PPE equipment available at relevant work sites.
  • Creation of cleaning task checklists

The ideal candidate will have:

  • The ability to lead with hands-on experience
  • 2 + years of management experience
  • Effective planning, organizing and time management skills
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent judgement and decision making skills to be applied to a variety of diverse situations
